Our latest work is around the NZC 'Principles'. The NZC states, "The principles embody beliefs about what is important and desirable in school curriculum - nationally and locally. They should underpin all school decision making." 

High Expectations - Treaty of Waitangi - Cultural Diversity - Inclusion -  Learning to Learn - Community Engagement - Coherence - Future Focus

 We based this years Learning Plan on the principle of 'High Expectations'. We expressed it as 'excellence' and have looked for excellence in all aspects of learning throughout the year. As an example, classes are now looking at excellence in the sciences which will continue through into the middle of Term 4.

So far this year we have had excellence in consideration, excellence in the arts, and excellence in science.
